「如是已辨至皆依外器」者，此下第三明空居天器。從夜摩天至色究竟，所住宮殿皆但依空。依迦濕彌羅，故言色界十六。又《正理》云「有說空中密雲彌布如地，為彼宮殿所依。外器世間至色究竟，上無色故，不可施設。

"Having thus explained... are all supported by the external receptacle": below this is the third section, explaining the receptacles of the sky-dwelling devas. From the Yāma devas up to Akaniṣṭha, the palaces they inhabit are all supported only by the sky. In accordance with the Kaśmīra [masters], sixteen [heavens] of the form realm are stated. Furthermore, the *Nyāyānusāra* says: "Some say that dense clouds spread in the sky like the ground, serving as the support for their palaces. The external receptacle world extends up to Akaniṣṭha; because there is no form above it, it cannot be posited."
