「如是道理應更成立」者，經部師責顯因不定。為如命等與明、無明不相違故非見所斷？為如得、四相與明、無明不相違故是見所斷？理既未盡，故言如是道理應更成立。或有漏業色非見所斷，屬下責文、或通兩處，義竝無違。

"Such reasoning needs to be further established": the Sautrāntika master reproves [the opponent] by showing that the logical reason is inconclusive. Is it like life-faculty, etc., being not abandoned through seeing because it does not conflict with clear knowledge and ignorance? Or is it like possession and the four characteristics, being abandoned through seeing despite not conflicting with clear knowledge and ignorance? Since the reasoning is not yet exhaustive, he says, "Such reasoning needs to be further established." Alternatively, "sāsrava action-matter is not abandoned through seeing" may belong to the reproof text below, or apply to both places; neither sense is contradictory.
