「過此戒生不違理故」者，經部答。雖無教說過此晝、夜其戒得生，不違理故。

"Because the generation of precepts beyond this does not contradict principle" is the Sautrāntika answer. Although there is no scriptural teaching saying that beyond this day and night the precepts are generated, it does not contradict principle.
