"Furthermore, a person who commits a grave offense [is not a true bhikṣu] up to [calling oneself a bhikṣu]": The Sautrāntika master further cites sūtras to demonstrate that committing a grave offense abandons the vows. *Saṃgha* means saṃgha, translated here as assembly. *Gha* means property. The property of the saṃgha is called *sāṃghika*. That is, food belonging to the assembly is called sāṃghika food. *Vihāra* is translated in sense as monastery, meaning a dwelling place. A person who commits a grave offense is not a real bhikṣu but calls himself a bhikṣu; by this we know that in the Vinaya, the 'self-professed bhikṣu' refers to a person who commits a grave offense. The rest of the text is understandable.
