「由此應准知至如理應說」者，釋善三果，翻惡應思。餘增上果及餘善業道，與上相違，如理應說。餘文可知。故《正理》云「由此應准知，善業道三果。且於離殺若習、若修、若多所作，由此力故生於天中受異熟果；從彼沒已來生人中受極長壽，近增上果；即復由此感諸外具有大威光，遠增上果。餘善三果，翻惡應說。

[On the phrase] “From this it should be known by analogy … should be explained in this manner”: this explains the three results of wholesome [karma], which should be considered by reversing the unwholesome. The remaining sovereign results and remaining wholesome courses of karma are the opposite of the above and should be explained in this manner. The rest of the text can be known. Therefore the *Nyāyānusāra* says: “From this it should be known by analogy the three results of wholesome courses of karma. First, regarding the abstinence from killing: whether practicing, developing, or repeatedly doing it, by the power of this one is born in heaven to experience a retributive result; having passed away from there, coming to be born among humans, one experiences an extremely long lifespan, which is the proximate sovereign result; moreover, directly by this, one brings about external requisites having great majesty, which is the remote sovereign result. The three results of the remaining wholesome [courses of karma] should be explained by reversing the unwholesome.”
