「此三障中至亦不可治」者，此下明三障輕重。有兩師解，此即初解。於三障中，煩惱與業二障皆重，以有此者第二生內亦不可治，造無間者定墮地獄。起惑障者，墮惡趣故，不得入聖，故言第二生內亦不可治。至第三生方可救療，故名為重。若異熟障，此生受已至第二生容可入聖，可救療故，故名為輕。

"Among these three obstacles: Up to: Is also incurable": Hereafter, clarifying the gravity of the three obstacles. There are explanations by two masters; this is the first explanation. Among the three obstacles, both the obstacle of affliction and the obstacle of karma are heavy, because one who possesses these is also incurable within the second life; one who creates an immediate [crime] determinately falls into hell. Those who give rise to the obstacle of affliction, because they fall into bad destinies, cannot enter the noble [path], hence it is said that within the second life they are also incurable. Only upon reaching the third life can they be rescued and cured; therefore they are termed heavy. As for the obstacle of ripening, after this life is experienced, upon reaching the second life it is permissible that one may enter the noble [path], because one can be rescued and cured; therefore it is termed light.
