Regarding the passage from "Only a remaining hundred eons" up to "ninety-one eons": this explains the third line. That is to say, outside of the three incalculable eons, there remain only a hundred eons in which he creates and cultivates, which is not many. The causal state of all Buddhas is fundamentally like this: all cultivate the ripening karma of the marks for a hundred great eons. From "only the Bhagavān" downward distinguishes the differences. A village chief refers to a city lord or town magistrate. The rest of the text can be understood. According to the Sarvāstivāda, only after passing through the three incalculable eons and cultivating the karma of the wondrous marks does one abandon the four faults and attain the two virtues.
