「謂諸煩惱現起纏心」者，經部答。惑現行時，覺察前境，故名為覺。

On “It refers to the defilements actively arising and enveloping the mind”: The Sautrāntikas answer. When the defilement is active, it perceives the cognitive object before it; hence it is called “awake.”
