Regarding "Right in the grasped... extremes of annihilation and permanence": Explaining annihilation and permanence, it clarifies the view of grasping at extremes. Right with respect to the grasped entity of self and what belongs to a self, one grasps it either as annihilated or as permanent, deviating from the principle of the Middle Way which is free from annihilation and permanence. Because one falsely grasps the extremes of annihilation and permanence, it is called the view of grasping at extremes (antagrāhadṛṣṭi). Arising grasping with respect to an extreme—grasping of an extreme—it is called 'extreme-grasping', a tatpuruṣa compound. The extreme-grasping is itself the view, hence called 'the view of grasping at extremes', a karmadhāraya compound.
