20.28

「第二所立至何義為同」者，破第二師。彼師所立世相雜亂，三世皆有三世相故。復破喻言。人於妻室貪現行時，於餘姬媵貪唯有成就、現無貪起，何義為同？以三世法同時皆有三世相故。喻不等法。

Regarding "What is established by the second ... in what sense is it similar?": this refutes the second master. What that master establishes causes temporal characteristics to be confounded, because all three periods would possess the characteristics of the three periods. Furthermore, refuting the analogy, it says: When a man's greed toward his wife is actively manifest, toward the other concubines greed only exists as possession (prāpti) and no greed arises at present—in what sense is it similar? Because the dharmas of the three periods of time would simultaneously all possess the characteristics of the three periods. The analogy does not match the dharma.
