「頌曰至餘緣此猶繫」者，頌答。上兩句約見位明，第三句約修位辨，下一句通前兩位。

Regarding [the passage] from "The verse says" up to "the rest taking this as object still bind": this is the answer in verse. The first two lines explain it with reference to the stage of vision; the third line analyzes it with reference to the stage of cultivation; the final line applies to both preceding stages.
