20.78

「若隨事別答至後三淨識境」者，答。法有十六，能緣亦爾。於此審知，能緣、所緣隨增可了。

Regarding [the passage] from "If answering according to the distinction of phenomena" up to "are the objects of the latter three pure consciousnesses": this is the answer. There are sixteen dharmas, and the cognizing [consciousnesses] are likewise. When this is examined closely, the increase of cognizing and cognized can be understood.
