"It refers to five dharmas ... and the dull, weak nature of the mind": this is the answer. "Nutriment" means that which can nourish. These five can nourish styāna and drowsiness; therefore, they are their nutriment. Another explanation: These five are all included among minor defilements. "Drowsiness" is the precursor to sleep. "Discontent" means the mind is unhappy. "Yawning" arises from exhaustion due to laborious work; it can arouse yawning, named as the cause from the effect. "Irregular eating" means consuming food exceeding one's normal measure, or where smell, taste, or tangible qualities are excessively intensified in some particular way, which causes the consumer's body and mind to sink into dullness. This is named as the effect arising from irregular eating, designated from its cause. "The dull, weak nature of the mind" means that through their power, the principal mind's apprehension of objects is not clear, which is 'dull', and its power to apprehend is feeble, which is 'weak'; it is named from its function.
