「離愛後有至愛為起因」者，說一切有部答。以三理證愛為起因：一離愛後有必不起故、二由愛力故相續趣後、三執取後身我愛最強，由此三理愛為起因。有愛，謂凡夫學人。離愛，謂諸無學。餘文可解。

Regarding "Apart from craving, future existence ... craving is the cause of origination": The Sarvāstivāda replies: By three reasons it is proven that craving is the cause of origination: first, because apart from craving, future existence definitely does not originate; second, because by the power of craving, the continuum proceeds toward what is subsequent; third, because in grasping future embodiment, craving for self is the strongest. By these three reasons, craving is the cause of origination. "Possessing craving" refers to ordinary persons and trainees (śaikṣa). "Apart from craving" refers to the non-trainees (aśaikṣa). The rest of the text is easy to understand.
