「修此觀已至皆慧五除得」者，此下第四明煖等四善根，七加行中後四加行也。就中，一明善根觀行、二諸門分別、三明善根勝利、四明三乘轉根、五明修果久近。此即明善根觀行。

"Having cultivated this contemplation ... are all wisdom; five, except attainment": from here down is the fourth section, clarifying the four wholesome roots such as Heat, which are the last four preparatory applications among the seven preparatory applications. Within this: first, clarifying the contemplative practice of the wholesome roots; second, distinguishing various categories; third, clarifying the superior benefits of the wholesome roots; fourth, clarifying the shifting of faculties in the three vehicles; fifth, clarifying the duration of time for cultivating the fruit. This [passage] clarifies the contemplative practice of the wholesome roots.
