Regarding "Spoken according to the stage of predominance... with outflows and without outflows": this is the fifth part, clarifying those with outflows (sāsrava) and without outflows (anāsrava). It can be known from the text. Furthermore, the *Nyāyānusāra* states: "In the stage of the path of cultivation, the seven limbs of awakening predominate and are adjacent to bodhi. Because they counteract the peak of existence (bhavāgra), the substance of the limbs of awakening is purely uncontaminated. All factors of awakening assist bodhi, yet only these uniquely mark the name of limbs of awakening because they are most adjacent to the fruit of bodhi. By this rationale, establishing the seven limbs of awakening should be known as stated only in reliance on counteracting the peak of existence. Taking this as the head, they analogously counteract the lower stages, and only with respect to the uncontaminated is the name 'limbs of awakening' established. If this were not accepted, why would they not extend to both? Or, among all bodhipakṣa dharmas, based on proximity to bodhi, the title 'limbs of awakening' is established. Within the path, the stage of the path of cultivation is near to bodhi, and its nature being near to bodhi is solely uncontaminated; therefore, only the uncontaminated path of cultivation establishes the name 'limbs of awakening.' In the stage of the path of seeing, the eight path factors are superior; therefore these are entirely subsumed under the uncontaminated nature."
