Regarding the passage from "Because the transmigration is cut off" up to "because it is eternally free from existence, it is escape": It is cessation because the dharmas of transmigration in saṃsāra are cut off; it is tranquil because upon reaching this nirvāṇa all suffering is stilled. As the sūtra states: "Bhikṣus, you should know that all sāsrava dharmas are entirely suffering, and only nirvāṇa is supreme tranquility." It is sublime because nirvāṇa is supreme and has nothing higher; it is escape because once realized it is eternally realized without regress. It is the path because it is like a correct path in the world; it is right because it proceeds in accordance with the real truth; it is practice because it definitely leads toward nirvāṇa. As the sūtra states: "This anāsrava path reaches pure nirvāṇa; the other views of non-Buddhists certainly can never reach the principle of purity." It is escape because it is eternally free from the three realms of existence.
