「十六行相至所行諸有法」者，此即第三明實體能所。一問十六行相實事有幾，二問何謂行相，三問能行，四問所行。頌中四句如其次第答前四問。

[On the verse] "Sixteen aspects … are the active dharmas that are their sphere": this is the third [section], clarifying the real entities, the agent, and the object. First, it asks how many real entities the sixteen aspects have; second, it asks what an aspect is; third, it asks what the cognitive agent is; fourth, it asks what the cognized object is. The four lines of the verse answer the preceding four questions in order.
