On "All three are called [aśaikṣa vidyās] ... because [they are] not aśaikṣa": this explains the third line. These three are all called the vidyās of an aśaikṣa because they all arise within the continuum of an aśaikṣa. Among them, the final one, the vidyā of the knowledge of the destruction of contaminants, has the nature of either six knowledges or ten knowledges, and allows of being truly aśaikṣa since it extends to the anāsrava. The other two are only metaphorically called aśaikṣa, because their intrinsic nature is solely neither-śaikṣa-nor-aśaikṣa. Therefore, the Nyāyānusāra states: "This final one receives the name aśaikṣa because both its intrinsic nature and continuum are aśaikṣa. The preceding two receive the name aśaikṣa solely on account of the continuum, not on account of their intrinsic nature."
