27.56

「諸有智者至後必得滅」者，讚智獲福。依佛引生五種果故：一得不空果，以見佛時必得果故；二得可愛果；三得殊勝果；四得速疾果；五得究竟涅槃果故。引頌可知。《正理》、《顯宗》釋佛因、果、恩德三種，又同此論。

On "All the wise […] will certainly attain cessation afterwards": This praises the wise who obtain merit. Because relying on the Buddha engenders five kinds of fruits: 1. Obtaining a fruitful (non-empty) result, because upon seeing the Buddha one will certainly obtain a fruit; 2. Obtaining a desirable result; 3. Obtaining a superior result; 4. Obtaining a swift result; 5. Obtaining the fruit of ultimate nirvāṇa. The verses cited can be understood [from the text]. The explanations of the Buddha's three excellences of cause, fruition, and benevolence in the *Nyāyānusāra* and the *Abhidharmasamayapradīpikā* are also identical to this treatise.
