27.65

「諸有欲起至皆如實知」者，此明加行。將起願智，先發誠願求知彼境，順逆出入八有心定，乃至後時便入邊際第四靜慮以為加行，從此定無間隨前所入邊際定勢力勝劣，如先願力引正智起，此名願智，於所求境皆如實知。

On "Whoever wishes to generate […] knows all in accordance with reality": This explains the preparatory practice. When about to generate knowledge resulting from resolve, one first makes a sincere vow seeking to know that object, and enters and emerges through the eight absorptions possessing consciousness in forward and reverse order, up until later entering the pinnacle fourth dhyāna as the preparatory practice. Immediately following this absorption, according to the superior or inferior strength of the previously entered pinnacle absorption, and in accordance with the power of the prior vow, correct wisdom is induced to arise. This is called knowledge resulting from resolve, and regarding the sought-after object, it knows all in accordance with reality.
