28.30

「頌曰至昧劣故立名」者，就頌答中，初句及四蘊明體性，離下地約生分四；次兩句顯除色想；次一句釋總名；次一句釋妨；後四句釋別名。

As for "The verse says: ... are named because they are dull and inferior": in the answer given in the verse, the first line and the [reference to the] four skandhas clarify intrinsic nature, and they are divided into four according to rebirth through detachment from lower stages; the next two lines show the elimination of notions of form; the next line explains the general name; the next line resolves an objection; and the last four lines explain the individual names.
