28.50

「此從心生至從彼心生」者，論主以經部義答，正釋頌文「後色起從心」。此色從心生，非從色起。謂昔所起感色果因，熏習在心，功能今熟，是故今時欲、色界色，從彼無色界心中色種生。

Regarding 'This arises from the mind... arises from that mind': the author of the treatise answers using the Sautrāntika position, directly explaining the verse line 'subsequent form arises from the mind'. This form arises from the mind, not from form. That is, the causes that act to produce the result of form, which were produced in the past, have perfumed the mind, and their potency has now ripened; therefore, the present form in the desire or form realms arises from the seeds of form within that mind of the formless realm.
