29.10

「謂諸瞋害至建立慈等」者，答。不欣慰以嫉為體。《正理》云「如契經說：慈能斷瞋，悲能斷害，喜斷不欣慰，捨斷欲、貪、瞋。」

"Malice, harmfulness, and so forth, up to establishing benevolence and so on" is the answer. Lack of rejoicing has jealousy as its nature. The *Nyāyānusāra* says: "As the sūtra states: 'Benevolence can sever malice; compassion can sever harmfulness; sympathetic joy severs lack of rejoicing; equanimity severs desire, greed, and malice.'"
