「《毘婆沙》說至捨能對治」者，答。《毘婆沙》說「欲貪有二。一色，色謂顯、形；二婬，婬謂婬欲。若不淨觀能治色貪，由觀不淨色貪不起。若捨無量能治婬貪，由觀平等婬貪不起。」論主解云：理實不淨觀能治婬貪，由觀不淨，婬貪不起。餘親友貪，捨能對治。由觀平等怨親，貪不起。

"The *Vibhāṣā* says up to equanimity can counteract" is the answer. The *Vibhāṣā* states: "Sensual greed has two kinds: first, color and shape, meaning manifest color and configuration; second, sexual desire, meaning lustful craving. The contemplation of impurity can counteract greed for color and shape: through contemplating impurity, greed for color and shape does not arise. The immeasurable equanimity can counteract sexual greed: through contemplating equality, sexual greed does not arise." The commentator explains: In actual fact, the contemplation of impurity can counteract sexual greed: through contemplating impurity, sexual greed does not arise. As for greed toward other relatives and friends, equanimity can counteract it: through contemplating enemies and friends as equal, greed does not arise.
