29.30
「修悲喜法至實為樂哉」者，類釋悲、喜，皆准前慈。復略釋悲，謂觀有情沒眾苦海，便願令彼皆得解脫。復略釋喜，謂想有情得樂離苦，便深欣慰實為樂哉。
Regarding "the method of cultivating compassion and joy, up to: 'How joyful it truly is!'": this analogously explains compassion and joy, all following the preceding [model of] benevolence. It further briefly explains compassion: that is, observing sentient beings submerged in the great ocean of suffering, one then wishes that they may all attain liberation. It further briefly explains joy: that is, conceiving of sentient beings as having attained happiness and being free from suffering, one feels deep rejoicing: "How joyful it truly is!"
