29.78

「既知如來正法壽至應求解脫勿放逸」者，此即第二勸學法。既知如來正法壽命漸次淪亡，如人欲終氣臨至喉即便斷滅。於此時中，是諸煩惱勢力增盛，應速欣求解脫涅槃，而勿放逸起諸煩惱。

"Having known that the lifespan of the Tathāgata's true Dharma [...] one should seek liberation and not be heedless": this is the second part, encouraging the study of the Dharma. Having known that the lifespan of the Tathāgata's true Dharma is gradually declining and perishing—like a person about to die whose breath has reached the throat and is immediately cut off—at this time, when the power of these afflictions is flourishing, one should swiftly and joyfully seek liberation and nirvāṇa, and not be heedless in generating afflictions.
