「色界如前至身醜陋故」者，此下明色界繫。色界已離婬欲法故，無男、女根。又由女男根身醜陋故，所以彼無。《正理》破云「此說不然。陰藏隱密非醜陋故。」俱舍師救云：論主故作此解，欲招後難，順己前文。

Regarding "The form realm is as before ... because the body would be ugly": below this explains attachment to the form realm. Because the form realm is already free from sexual desire, it lacks the male and female faculties. Furthermore, because male and female faculties make the body ugly, they are absent there. The *Nyāyānusāra* refutes this, saying: "This statement is incorrect, for what is hidden in a sheath is not ugly." The Kośa master defends it, saying: The author of the treatise intentionally offered this explanation, wishing to invite subsequent objections in conformity with his own preceding text.
