「謂信等五至總名為善」者，答。謂信等五、命、意、捨八。信等五根一向善故，所以頌文總名為善。

Regarding 'Namely the five of faith, etc... up to: collectively named good': this is the answer. Namely, the five of faith, etc., life, mind, and equanimity, making eight. Because the five faculties of faith, etc., are exclusively good, the verse collectively names them 'good'.
