「不爾此中至無色界故」者，答。不爾，此頌文中依命、意、捨、信等八根中唯是善者說，不依二十二根中唯是善者說。又說愚生無色界故，明知不成三無漏根。

Regarding 'Not so, for here... up to: the formless realm': this is the answer. It is not so; in this verse, the statement is made based only on what is good among the eight faculties of life, mind, equanimity, faith, etc., not based on what is good among the twenty-two faculties. Moreover, since it speaks of fools born in the formless realm, it is evident that they do not possess the three untainted faculties.
