「不應語具至語方成故」者，此下別破。此破語具。不應語具於語為根，此語待習學差別語等方成故，故知語具望語非有增上。若語具於語能為增上，初生有舌應即能言。

Regarding "The vocal organ should not be... because speech is only then accomplished": below, this is a separate refutation. This refutes the vocal organ. It is not appropriate that the vocal organ should be a faculty for speech, because this speech only succeeds by depending upon the habituation and learning of distinct words and so forth; thus we know that relative to speech, the vocal organ has no sovereign function. If the vocal organ could serve as a sovereign function for speech, a newborn possessing a tongue ought immediately to be able to speak.
