30.18

「大種有四至不異大種」者，犢子部反責。論主我一、蘊五，命、我異蘊。大種有四，造色唯一，寧言造色不異大種？

Regarding 'There are four primary elements [while derived matter is only one ...] not different from the primary elements': the Vātsīputrīya counters with an objection. [According to] the author of the treatise, the self is one and the aggregates are five, so the vital principle (jīva) and self are different from the aggregates. [Yet] the primary elements are four, and derived matter is only one; why do you say that derived matter is not different from the primary elements?
