30.21

「諸計造色至補特伽羅」者，論主答。諸覺天等計諸造色即大種論。設如彼見，應作是質：如諸造色即四大種，亦應即五蘊立補特伽羅，如何言我不即蘊耶？

Regarding 'Those who assert that derived matter [is simply the primary elements ...] a person': the author of the treatise replies. Those such as Dharmatrāta assert the thesis that derived matter is simply the primary elements. If one accepts their view, one should formulate the following challenge: Just as derived matter is simply the four primary elements, one should likewise establish the person (pudgala) as being simply the five aggregates. Why do you say that the self is not identical with the aggregates?
