「經說諸識至為何所作」者，數論問言。經說諸識能了所緣，識於所緣為何所作？
Regarding "The sūtra says that consciousnesses... what action does it perform?": the Sāṃkhya asks. The sūtra says that consciousnesses can cognize their intentional objects (ālambana); what action does consciousness perform with regard to its intentional object?
