「若爾不應至皆互相應」者，復難。雖於一體無彼二用，然性相違，不應同緣一境。若兩性相違同緣一境，或應一切貪、瞋等法皆互相應。

Regarding "If so, they should not ... all be associated with each other": Another objection. Although those two functions do not belong to a single entity, their natures are mutually opposed, so they should not cognize the same object. If two mutually opposed natures cognized the same object, then all dharmas such as greed and hatred should all be mutually associated.
