「逸謂放逸至所對治法」者,逸謂放逸,不修諸善,恐濫無記,故言是修諸善即不放逸所對治法。又《正理》云「於專己利棄捨縱情,名為放逸。」

Regarding "Heedlessness (pramāda) means laxity ... the dharma to be counteracted": Heedlessness means laxity, the non-cultivation of wholesome dharmas; fearing that it might be confused with the indeterminate (avyākṛta), it states that it is the dharma to be counteracted by the cultivation of wholesome dharmas, which is non-heedlessness (apramāda). Furthermore, the *Nyāyānusāra* states: "Giving up and abandoning [wholesome things] to indulge one's impulses with respect to dedicating oneself to one's own benefit is called heedlessness."
