"Further, name-groups and the like are uniquely uniform outflow:" in the third section, the analysis of the five classes, they are uniquely uniform outflow (niṣyanda) because they arise from a homogeneous cause (sabhāga-hetu); since they are not subtle atoms, they are not nourished (aupacayika); since they arise according to desire, they are not maturation-born (vipākaja). Thus the Nyāyānusāra states: "As for saying that names and the like arise from karma, this is because they are the sovereign fruit produced by karma. Their essence is not unconditioned, so they are not real. Since they arise from a homogeneous cause, they are not instantaneous (kṣaṇika)."
