「世尊曾未至俱分解脫」者，問。既言俱分謂得滅定，佛盡智時未起滅定，如何名俱？
"The World-Honoured One had never previously [...] liberated in both parts (ubhayatobhāgavimukta)": this is a question. Since 'both parts' means having attained the attainment of cessation, but at the time of the knowledge of destruction the Buddha had not yet produced the attainment of cessation, how can he be called 'both'?
