「順受有異順定不定生二受故」者，此中兩對：定、不定為一對，無想是定，滅盡是不定；生、二受復為一對，無想順生，滅定順生、後二受。應知為對不定，故別立定，理實此定即是生受。

Regarding "The manner of ripening differs, because they are experienced in determined and undetermined [lives], and in the next and subsequent lives": here there are two pairs. Determined and undetermined form one pair: non-conception is determined, while cessation is undetermined. The next life and two subsequent experiences form another pair: non-conception is experienced in the next life, while the absorption of cessation is experienced in the next or subsequent lives. One should understand that in contrast to the undetermined, "determined" is specially established; in truth, this "determined" is precisely experience in the next life.
