「謂能證故至擇滅為道果」者，答。由道力能證得滅，由此理故，道雖非滅六種生因，而可得說擇滅為道證得因果。

Regarding 'Because it can realize […] pratisamākhyā-nirodha is the result of the path': reply. Because by the power of the path one can realize and attain cessation; by this principle, although the path is not the six kinds of generative causes of cessation, it can be said that pratisamākhyā-nirodha is the result of the cause of realization and attainment by the path.
