6.46

「此亦有餘至因義得成」者，說一切有部救言。俱有法生時，不但同時互相有力，成俱有因。此中亦有餘同類因等，是故俱有因義得成。如彼三杖，非但相依有力令住，亦有繩、鉤、地等連持令住。

On "Here too there are other [...] the meaning of cause is established": this is the Sarvāstivādin defending, saying: when co-existent phenomena arise, not only do they have mutual efficacy at the same time to establish the co-existent cause; herein there are also other [causes, such as] the homogeneous cause and so forth, and therefore the meaning of the co-existent cause is established. Just as with those three staves, not only does their mutual leaning have the efficacy to make them stand, but there are also ropes, hooks, the ground, and so forth connecting and supporting them so that they stand.
