「染謂不善至餘無生理」者，釋第三句。《婆沙》云「能障聖道及聖道加行，故名有覆。不招異熟果，故名無記。」

Regarding 'Defiled means unwholesome [...] the others have no principle of arising': this explains the third line. The Vibhāṣā says: 'Because it can obstruct the noble path and the applied effort of the noble path, it is called obscured. Because it does not invite maturation fruit, it is called non-defined.'
