「又今應說至以何為依」者，論主問。欲、色有情，同分、命根必依色轉。無色此二以何為依？以下例上。

"Furthermore, it should now be explained... on what do they rely?" is the question by the author of the treatise. For sentient beings in the desire and form [realms], generic similarity and the life faculty necessarily operate relying on form. On what do these two in the formless rely? This compares the lower to the higher.
