「從他所聞至生貪愛故」者，答。或從他聞，於未來化心生愛味故。或自退失，於過去化心生愛味故。或觀化者自在勢力，於現在化心生貪愛故。

"Because hearing from another [...] one generates greedy attachment": the reply. Either hearing from another, one generates relishing attachment toward a future mind of creation; or having regressed oneself, one generates relishing attachment toward a past mind of creation; or observing the sovereign power of the creator, one generates greedy attachment toward a present mind of creation.
