8.57

「《法蘊足論》至修成中有」者，復引證。是眼，簡異耳等。二十二根中是眼根，十二處中是眼處，十八界中是眼界。及五趣眼，修成天眼，及中有眼，既離五趣別說中有，明知中有非五趣攝。

"The Dharmaskandha-śāstra [...] cultivated, and the intermediate state": quoting further proof. Being an eye excludes the ear and so forth. Among the twenty-two faculties, it is the eye faculty; among the twelve āyatanas, it is the eye āyatana; among the eighteen dhātus, it is the eye dhātu. As well as the eyes of the five destinies, the cultivated divine eye, and the eye of the intermediate state: since the intermediate state is stated separately from the five destinies, it is clear that the intermediate state is not subsumed under the five destinies.
