「洟等皆亦至今應顯示」者，經部通難。洟、淚等皆亦說在彼《象迹喻經》，如說「復有身中餘物」，餘物即是洟、淚等物。縱許破云：設復同彼離髮、毛等，洟、淚等中別有地界；離無明支外有餘無明，今應顯示，然離無明外無別有無明。

Regarding "mucus and the like are also ... one should now point them out": the Sautrāntika resolves the objection. Mucus, tears, and the like are also spoken of in that Simile of the Elephant's Footprint Sūtra, as it says: "Furthermore, there are other substances in the body," and the "other substances" are indeed substances such as mucus and tears. Even granting the refutation: even if, similarly to that, apart from hair, body hair, and so forth, there were another earth element in mucus, tears, and so forth, then if there were another ignorance apart from the member of ignorance, one should now point it out; but apart from ignorance, there is no other distinct ignorance.
