9.3

「當往何趣至形狀如何」者，此下第三諸門分別。總有十一門，此即第一明其形狀問。隨往何趣所起中有形狀如何？與所趣生為同？為別？或可分為兩問：當往何趣，是一問；所起中有形狀如何，是第二問。或可中有當往何趣、用何業感，為一問；「所起」以下，為第二問。

Regarding the passage: "To which destiny will it go... what is its shape?": From here below is the third section, the analysis under various rubrics. There are eleven rubrics in all, and this is the first, the question explaining its shape: According to whichever destiny it goes to, what is the shape of the intermediate state that arises? Is it the same as or different from the birth it approaches? Alternatively, this can be divided into two questions: To which destiny it will go is one question; what is the shape of the intermediate state that arises is the second question. Or, to which destiny the intermediate state will go and by what karma it is produced is one question; and from "that arises" onward is the second question.
