「頌曰至至當受老死」者，答。就四頌中，初一句辨無明，次一句明行，次一句明識，次一句明名色；次二句明六處，次二句明觸；次一句明受，次一句明愛，次二句明取；次二句明有，次一句明生，次一句明老死。

"The verse states... up to will undergo old age and death": this is the answer. Within the four verses, the first line explains ignorance; the next line clarifies volitional formations; the next line clarifies consciousness; the next line clarifies name-and-form; the next two lines clarify the six sense bases; the next two lines clarify contact; the next line clarifies feeling; the next line clarifies craving; the next two lines clarify grasping; the next two lines clarify existence; the next line clarifies birth; the next line clarifies old age and death.
