「已了三受至此位名受」者，四歲五歲已去、十四十五已來，已了三受生因差別。簡前位，雖起衣、食等貪。未起婬貪，簡後位。此中間位所有五蘊，總名為受。受用勝故，別標受名。

"Having understood the three feelings... this stage is called feeling": from four or five years of age onward up to fourteen or fifteen, having already understood the distinctions among the causes generating the three feelings. This differentiates it from the preceding stage; although greed for food, clothing, etc., arises, sexual craving has not yet arisen, which differentiates it from the subsequent stage. All the five aggregates in this intervening stage are collectively called 'feeling'. Because the function of feeling is predominant, it is distinctively designated with the name of feeling.
