「論曰至眼識依故」，答也。三根雖處各別二，以三同故合立一界。此釋三義同也。

Regarding the commentary statement from "The text says" up to "support for the eye-consciousness": this is the reply. Although the three faculties each have two distinct locations, because they are identical in three respects, they are united as one dhātu. This explains their identity in three respects.
